V15W2 Basic Switch for Hazardous Locations
2019-04-22Honeywell's V15W2 is a certified explosion-proof switch approved for use in Zone 2 hazardous locations, offering UL, cUL, ENEC, CQC, and IECEx approvals. Honeywell's switching solution is fully certified to work in Zone 2 environments where other solutions are not. This switch fulfills the need in the market for manufacturers to hit their safety goals based on global refrigerant requirements and the IEC-60079 standard.
Global regulations worldwide are driving change in the refrigerants market towards solutions that have lower global warming potential. Several of the refrigerants such as R-290 (propane) and R600a (isobutane) are mildly explosive and in order to meet regulations manufacturers need to update their designs. V15W2’s Zone 2 hazardous location certifications enable designers to meet IEC-60079-0 and IEC 60079-15 standards.
